“This is a wonderfully written … woman’s fantasy, a compelling story of a successful businesswoman in love with a married man. She rents a lighthouse on an island in Lake Superior for a year to write a book and in the end she finds herself.”

This is a great summer beach read, but not a fluffy one. Lots of depth in the characters and unique touches in the story that are characteristic of Ms. Egner’s writing style.

This is a great story. I enjoyed meeting the new characters Libby and Ella and was engrossed in their story from page one. After reading about the Monarch migration I felt as though I had experienced it myself and also feel compelled to go and experience this amazing phenomenon. Ms. Egner creates characters with such depth and her stories take twists and turns that are a pleasant surprise to the reader. I can’t wait to see what happens in the next book.
